Adelphia IP Addresses

Hi All;

According to my business contact, all the Adelphia IP addresses will change.
ARIN will not let Time Warner
keep the Adelphia IP addresses....
For static IP's holders, that will be a big headache, myself
included. But I personally plan to go to a 5 ip block on
switchover....
In my area (Western NY) that major change will effect about 1700 commerical
customers, and unknown home account customers.
I suppect this will also effect the other cable operators thait is taking
over the Adelphia systems.

No blocked ports......

So even with the "commercial account", a static IP is still extra?

I do not know what will happen in the future but one
of my Comm. customers (Adelphia) with a dynamic ip has not changed in over
a year....and I have a web server on it...
The TW cable modem in another town has a happet of changing every 90
days....
A bit of a pain cause I have to re-edit the DNS info
on it when it changes..... I hope when the true switch over happens, and
they use the same clac so I can pass my statics around....

Who the heck did you call to get a commercial account. I have been trying to
set that up for YEARS and every time I call I get a DUH!
