Don't bet on it.

Comcast got my piece of the Adelphia network . . . FOUR WEEKS AGO AND I
STILL DON'T HAVE A COMCAST ACCOUNT!

I've played tag with every tech and all I've heard is "We're working on it.
We should be done in a few days." For four bloomin' bloody weeks! What a
bunch of liars and clueless cheats.

Of course this is so tightly regulated I only have one other option: dial-up
service.

Well that what Time Warner told us, but we have shitty speeds & cable TV is
a mess still so till I see my first bill from TW I tell them to shove it &
fix it before we pay.
Other options here is DSL & Satellite Internet

Interesting. Your IP address doesn't even have reverse DNS.

but we have shitty speeds
How shitty? What sort of speeds are you getting? What sort of speeds
did you get with Adelphia? Approximately where do you live?

I'm in the San Gabriel Valley, east of Los Angeles, and my changeover
date is tomorrow. Adelphia consistently gives me download speeds in
the area of my 4000kbps speed cap. Since this is my last day on the
actual Adelphia network before switching to Roadrunner, I took the
following tests about an hour ago:

www.speakeasy/speedtest Los Angeles server 4432 down / 434 up
www.testmy.net 3931 down / 430 up
www.dslreports.com/stest?loc=2&premium=
Linkline, Los Angeles, CA 3706 down / 428 up
www.dslreports.com/stest?loc=1&premium=
Megapath, San Francisco, CA 4350 down / 441 up
http://nitro.ucsc.edu/ University of California at Santa Clara
4450 down / 445 up

And I wrote that my changeover date from Adelphia to TW was tomorrow.
That was a few hours before today's (snail) mail delivery; it's been
postponed until sometime "in the near future".

in all the time.. "aww my speed is 2998 and you guys said it would be
3000... fix it or I'm not paying...
